What differs
Each difference changes what we can say about a document.
How long a version lasts
Dropbox keeps version history for 30 days on its Basic, Plus and Family plans and up to 365 days on its business plans, and upgrading is not retroactive (Dropbox Help).
Proving a file is unchanged
Some systems can. Others cannot.
Knowing your deals
Most do not. Folders are mapped to programs for each insurer.
What we will not do
A wrong version would quietly spoil many documents at once.
Guess the version
If a system cannot say which version was read, we say so.
Read an unnamed version
The exact version is settled before anything is read.
Treat a rename as a change
Renames and moves leave recorded evidence alone.
